ABOUT – The Geometric Works of Montxu

We are a group of geometrists, designers, and art directors, with a shared interest in geometrical forms and their dialogue with perception through light. Our work moves across both physical and digital spaces, spanning sculpture, folded paper, photography, drawing, print, and computer graphic imagery, within artistic, commercial, and experimental contexts.

Each form is designed to interact with light in precise ways. Through a careful dialing of shape and incidence, we aim to achieve what we call “optical vibrancy” — a state where optical illusion does not repel, but invites the viewer in, encouraging prolonged observation and revealing hidden perceptions within each piece.

In the physical space, we handcraft our works, embracing the imperfections that inevitably emerge in the process and creating tactile, interactive pieces. Digitally, we pursue geometrical perfection — free from parallax, sharpening angles to atomic precision, and using animation to explore the possibilities of materiality and motion.

The constant exchange between physical and digital approaches, and the freedom to iterate each form across our diverse techniques, keeps us engaged and continually uncovering new ways to see and experience our work.
